Business support is at the heart of a new partnership between LG Electronics East Africa and regional distributor Opalnet, as the two companies introduce a range of commercial technology solutions designed to help businesses operate more efficiently and grow with confidence.

The new portfolio targets organizations in sectors including real estate, hospitality, logistics, retail and the public sector. Alongside premium commercial products, the partnership places a strong emphasis on business support through financing options, technical consultation, installation, training and long-term after-sales service.

The expanded range includes built-in kitchen appliances, commercial HVAC systems, commercial laundry equipment, cold-chain freezers and large-format commercial displays tailored to meet the needs of modern enterprises.

Among the new offerings are LG’s energy-efficient Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems and Multi V™ technologies, which help businesses reduce energy consumption while maintaining comfortable indoor environments. The company has also introduced commercial washers and dryers for hotels, hospitals, serviced apartments and institutional facilities. Equipped with AI-powered fabric care, the machines are designed to reduce water and energy consumption while improving operational uptime.

For retailers and cold-chain operators, LG is also offering high-efficiency chest freezers, alongside commercial display solutions including its flagship 100-inch QNED commercial screen.

Speaking during a showcase attended by developers, engineers, distributors and other industry professionals, LG Electronics East Africa Marketing Lead Jane Kariuki said the company is focused on providing practical business support that goes beyond supplying equipment.

“We are trying to help our B2B partners grow their businesses. We understand that some may not have the financial capacity to invest immediately, so together with Opalnet, we have partnered with financial institutions that can help. We also provide the technology, after-sales support and training because we want to grow alongside our partners,” she said.

Kariuki noted that businesses today are looking for more than quality products. They also want reliable partners who can provide ongoing business support as they modernize their operations and improve efficiency.

Opalnet Managing Director Rakesh Singh said local expertise is essential to ensuring businesses get the full value from advanced commercial technologies.

“Even the best technology cannot deliver value without strong local support,” he said. “Our role is to make sure businesses can install, operate and maintain these solutions successfully. Most of LG’s latest products now incorporate AI, and we are working with LG to make sure these technologies are available to businesses in Kenya.”

As part of the partnership, Opalnet will provide technical consultation, installation, preventive maintenance and after-sales service, creating a comprehensive business support model that helps organizations maximize the performance and lifespan of their investments.

The companies believe this localized approach will encourage more businesses to adopt modern commercial technologies, whether they are developing new facilities or upgrading existing ones.

Through the partnership, LG and Opalnet are positioning themselves as long-term business support partners for enterprises across East Africa, helping organizations lower operating costs, improve efficiency and access the expertise needed to achieve sustainable growth.
