Air France-KLM’s Loyalty Programme Flying Blue Wins Four Major Freddie Awards

Air France-KLM’s Loyalty Programme Flying Blue Wins Four Major Freddie Awards, earning global recognition for providing one of the best travel rewards programmes in the world.

Flying Blue, the loyalty programme of the Air France-KLM Group, won four top awards at the 2026 Freddie Awards, one of the travel industry’s most respected honours. The programme was named Program of the Year in the Europe and Africa region. It also received awards for Best Elite Program, Best Redemption Ability, and Best Customer Service. In addition, its “Turning Miles into Memories for 20 Years” campaign earned a Silver Award.

These achievements come shortly after Flying Blue was named the World’s Best Airline Loyalty Program for the second year in a row by Point.me, a leading flight search and booking platform.

The Freddie Awards are special because the winners are chosen by travellers themselves. This year, more than 4.2 million frequent flyers voted, making it the largest voting turnout in the awards’ history.

Flying Blue gives members the opportunity to earn and redeem Miles when flying with Air France, KLM, and more than 40 partner airlines. Members can use their Miles to travel to over 1,000 destinations worldwide and enjoy rewards on travel and lifestyle purchases.

Joris Holtus, Air France-KLM’s General Manager for East and Southern Africa, Nigeria and Ghana, said the awards show the confidence that millions of travellers have in Flying Blue. He added that the programme continues to deliver valuable rewards and excellent service to its members.

Flying Blue has also expanded beyond air travel. Members can now earn Miles when buying selected Apple products and through more than 100 partner brands in travel, transport, shopping, and lifestyle services.

The programme includes several customer-friendly features such as Family Miles pooling, monthly Promo Rewards, the option to support sustainable aviation fuel projects, and a status system based on Experience Points instead of how much a traveller spends.

Today, Flying Blue has more than 35 million members worldwide and continues to introduce new ways to reward loyal travellers with more personalised benefits and greater flexibility.
